Reviewed: 10 October 2022When I arrived, the house was very clean and the japanese-style room was very comfortable.
The toilet was not bad despite the flushing issues, but the shower's hot water could literally steam. White the house is somewhat far away from a train station, the nearby busses made that bearable.
Reviewed: 06 July 2020I loved this house, location is in a beautiful natural location, I could hear birds when I woke up every morning. The house is small but cozy and has everything you need. The bathroom is shared, that was the only thing I didn’t like, but it was kept clean weekly by the house owner is very sweet and nice! Overall a great place to live in Kyoto!

Reviewed: 13 February 2019Toji House is a 20 minute walk away from Kyoto Station, tucked away in a residential area a short walk away from Toji. The owner and his wife drop by once in a while, doing some house maintenance and cleaning, so it is very well taken care of.

Reviewed: 10 February 2019We stayed in Toji house, room #4A and 4B. Perfect for 2 persons. Very good location, close to Kyoto central station. Clean and fully equiped. You really feel like at home. Very friendly and professional staff. We strongly recommend J-stay agency. Merci beaucoup!
