Reviewed: 10 March 2024The shared house was overall really good. Every room is well sound proofed so I had no problems. The kitchen was really messy when I arrived and no matter how many times I cleaned the kitchen floor it would remain sticky as if not clean.
Reviewed: 14 April 2023Living in Kyoto and J Stay managed share house for over five years was an absolute pleasure. Takano share house's location is perfect for anyone visiting Kyoto, let alone for students/researchers/office workers.
Reviewed: 12 September 2021The stay was great, noticed some issues with the appliances, there was no flat iron, some of the washing machines were old. Maybe that would be the only addition for now.
Reviewed: 11 February 2019Staying at Takano share house 2 was a very good experience. The room was very nice (after the initial days with humidity issues), and the house was generally clean and tidy. Its location was perfect (for me, a student at University of Kyoto). Residents were very nice. If I had to change anything, a sofa and a table for people to sit and relax would have been very nice. One resident of the share house always watches television from 8-11 pm and effectively makes it impossible for others to use the TV or get together, e.g., to watch a movie. We could also not organize a dinner together because the smell and noise bother her. That was disappointing, because I think she is negatively affecting the social atmosphere of the house. Other than that, the owners and J-stay were very responsive. The experience was overall very good. Thank you very much.
